It has been since I think 2019 that we have been to the Ohio Renaissance Festival, so it was really nice to kind of have some return to a 'normal thing' that we use to do every year. I was so looking forward to it, Emily enjoys it, and Abby loved it 2 years ago when she was 7 almost 8, and Vera is all about the fun stuff like this, so definitely Paisley's in too!
Just so happened to be the one weekend we could attend, between soccer games and other things, was Highland Weekend!! Stellar! I get to wear a kilt, all of our girls chose to dress up as well. Vera was a lovely Princess, as was Paisley, Abby chose to be a Dragon!
We went and spent the early afternoon out in Harveysburg, OH, the weather was perfect for our costumes; it had recently shifted to high 50's, low 60's. We walked around the thoroughfare looking through all of vendors, admiring the role players and experienced all of the small things they had to offer (like a falconry!). We eventually settled in with some snacks and food while watching the Knights Tournament. The girls loved it!
All in all it was a beautiful, sunny day, spent with family, making wonderful memories of being princesses and dragons.
