I wouldn't say that we are a 'HUGE' New Year's Family. We've mostly checked out of the sporting department in the 2014/2015 year for the Bengals and the Reds shortly after the All Star Game was held in 2015 as well. We just aren't that family that gathers around a television on Saturdays during College Football Season, which primarily New Year's caters to in whole.
So we wanted to try to start to do a fun new tradition with the girls! With the invention of the internet, and time zones... you can celebrate for hours and hours and hours with amazing displays and spectacular fireworks and art shows!! And at very reasonable hours. So we decided to turn it up to 9, and let it fly!
We got early baths, some fancy feathery New Year party crowns, New Years blowers and horns, some sparkling grape juice, elegant looking plastic champagne glasses, some tasty snacks, and comfy PJ's. Let me tell you, they were living the life, and it sounded like we had several wounded ducks in our living room.
We watch Dubai bring in the New Year at 6pm, and then watch various other streams all throughout the world as well! Abby, Vera, and even Paisley had a blast bringing in the New Year and blowing their horns and dancing, and celebrating, It was quite a wonderful family event to behold and be a part of. Abby and Vera talked about it for weeks after, asking when they could do it again!
Until next year my little Bugs, 2022 awaits us.
