We haven't actually taken all the girls camping yet, being Paisley is so young, so this was the first opportunity for us to find out what this would be all about. Nap times in the sweltering heat and no dark room, and not only a change of scenery (the pop-up camper), but also a time change! Let's roll the dice!
We pulled into Horse Park, KY KOA for our extended weekend stay. Might I say, top notch place to stay! Wonderful clean bathrooms and showers, an amazing pool, and close to all kinds of great family things that interested us!
Second day we ventured out to Dinosaur World, a SURE-FIRE hit with Abby. it didn't disappoint at all.
Then we decided to go pet some kangaroo's, at Kentucky Down Under a private zoo off of our exit, which luckily had a cave tour as well with the price of admission!
On one of our last days we took a trip over to Mammoth Cave National Park, and attempted to get a tour to one of the caves. Sadly even early in the morning they were all booked up. But the girls had a cave experience at the zoo, and the younger 2 weren't fans of it being so cold, damp and dark. So maybe it was for the best this time.
Throughout our time spent in KOA, Abby made friends with 2 little girls in an adjacent campsite from us.
They were from IN, and straddled her in age by a year or two, but that didn't matter. Abby can make friends anywhere she goes, God love her.
