With Abby joining her Sherwood Running Club at school, the goal was to get ready to run the 5k on May, 14th. The last 5k she did, which was more of a run/walk was her Heart Mini in Feb. and her Girls on the Run which was also a Run/Walk with Emily.
This was the first time she's been actually training, and will be running with someone to do her actual pace to see how well she can actually do in a 5k! The training with the Sherwood Running Club was a long process, and one she was not used to. To teach her endurance.. and not just sprinting.
We as a family decided to as a family support her and walk with Vera & Paisley in the pull-behind bike stroller for the 5k as well. It was on Paisley's Birthday, so it was something fun we got to go and do on her birthday as well. Win/Win.
Afterward, we stopped over at the Anderson Autographs event where Sam LeCure was doing an appearance to support the FHFE, with who I do some charity graphic design work to promote the events for Nathan, who Runs the Anderson Autographs.
Vera was Star-Struck with meeting Sam, and I have no clue why. But she absolutely loved it.
We wound up only walking 1/2 of the 5k, due to upset and impatient little ones. Paisley legit ran the last 1/4-1/8th mile of the race while Emily jogged it with her.
Abby finished 19th overall in her age group, in 32:37 running 10-minute Miles!! We are so very proud of this little Honey Badger.
So Blessed to have these girls!
